Last week, we delivered bags to every house in the Fallbrook neighborhood, and today, our fantastic student and staff volunteers walked (or drove) around the neighborhood to collect the bags.
It took a little bit of time to get organized:
But soon, we were on our way!
We traveled in pairs and dropped off the bags of donated goods into trucks, driven by some of our teachers, which followed each group around the neighborhood.
Though it was a lot of walking and lifting, students appeared to be having fun along the way!
Before we knew it, all bags had been collected, and it was time to return to school to unload them.
After all that work, we are proud to announce that we collected 1,029 pounds of food for the Food Bank of Lincoln!
We are grateful to all students and staff who helped us with this event, and we are especially grateful for the generosity of the Fallbrook residents who kindly donated to this great cause!
