Halloween at a middle school could be a crazy day. Or a crazy week. Students seem to be under the impression that we should be throwing a party (we don't) or that they should be allowed to wear crazy costumes (they aren't). So, we figured, why not make every day of Halloween week a dress-up day? It's all the fun of Halloween without the dress code violations!
Monday was Lazy Day, where students were supposed to wear comfy clothes - you know, sweat pants, t-shirts, hoodies, etc. It turns out that students wear that kind of thing on a normal day, so taking pictures of that spirit day seemed sort of irrelevant. That day, you couldn't tell who was dressed according to that day's theme and who simply forgot that Monday was even a spirit day. Oh, well.
Tuesday was Red Carpet Day, where students were asked to dress up as their favorite celebrity or dress up as if they were attending a Red Carpet event.
These students just dressed up as the red carpet. How creative! |
Mrs. Mac wears a different Prom dress or bridesmaid's dress each year! |
Walking on the Red Carpet. |
These stars read, "I don't need to dress up because I'm already a star." |
As the ever-popular movie Mean Girls states, "On Wednesdays, we wear Pink." And indeed, we did!
Thursday was Teacher/Student swap day, where students were supposed to dress up like a teacher and teachers were supposed to dress like students.
And Friday was Sports Day!
Thanks to everybody who participated!
